I had a really nice stay on the weekend and holidays. The hotel has a particularly good location close to outdoor activities. It's so close to restaurants to choose from.

Fairly clean hotel with attentive staff and a great value. Separate room with a Rollin shower, twin beds, laundry. Hot breakfast, lots of meals. A COMFORTABLE stay for the price.

The bagged breakfast was satisfactory and had lots of meals. Central heating, a private safe and multi-channel TV in the room, favourable location.

Unfortunately my room was dingy.

The place was impeccably clean with free parking and a comfortable bed. The room we had included a television, a small fridge, and a microwave oven. All the staff were responsive and professional. The property's location was comfortable and unbeatable, on the front sidewalk near the front entrance.

Check in was quick and painless and the desk clerk explained all of the facilities and what was available quickly and clearly. We really appreciated that they had cold bottled water for no extra charge. We took advantage each morning on our way out and again when we returned. They also have a large glass water urn with cucumber in the middle and my daughter loved the flavored water. The ladies who prepared and served the breakfast did a very good job keeping things stocked and it was a little different each morning. Fresh fruit, strawberry sauce to put on yogurt or anything else you wanted. I like orange juice and it was good. Also if you want to find a good place to eat, ask the people at the front desk. We had been trying to save money and eat sandwiches at least once a day but I can only eat so many sandwiches before I am tired of them. I asked the young man at the desk about a safe, family place to eat and he pulled out multiple sheets of paper full of places that the staff liked to eat, all categorized by type of food. He also grabbed a map of Tucson and showed me exactly how to get there from the hotel. It was an authentic family owned restaurant that I would not have stopped at on my own. It was El Merendero at 5443 S. 12th street. The food was excellent and service was very quick. Our room was near the top of the stairway but it was never noisy. The pool area was clean and my daughter would have been happy if we stayed in the pool all day.

The only complaint that we have about his property is that the room was not very clean. It almost looked like it was a room that had not been used in a while. The tops of all the furniture were dusty and there was some trash next to the chair in the front part of the room. The bathroom was not very clean either. Luckily my wife carries cleaning supplies and she spent over an hour cleaning the room. I did not complain to the staff since we had been traveling for about 13 hours and once she cleaned we felt comfortable staying there. I am confident that had we complained they would have responded in a positive manner. I also want to say that the manager has already e-mailed me an apology and assured me that they had met with the staff regarding the cleaning of rooms.
